Profile
Ms. Palak Shah joined KBIPER in July 2004 as a lecturer in the department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy. She did her industrial training in Fluid Therapy Division (FTD) in Core Pharmaceuticals. She was promoted to Assistant Professor in September 2009. At KBIPER, Ms. Shah is involved in teaching Clinical Pharmacy, General and Clinical Pharmacology, Good Clinical Practice and Anatomy Physiology to B. Pharm and M.Pharm students. She has good hand over GCP and Clinical trials Design. Apart from teaching, she has successfully co-ordinated several committes like (Internal Examination Committee and GATE Committee) and Time-table and Academic Calender Committee. She has guided number of UG and PG students. She has been awarded for best poster presentation and her several paper have been nominated for awards. She has remained as member of several Human Ethics Committee (as a Pharmacologist) for approval of clinical trials.

  2. Oral presentation titled “Effect of adrenergic receptor modulators on angiogenesis using mice mesenteric window model” is selected for OD Gulati Award at 43rd Indian Pharmacological Society conference, Dec 2010 held at National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad. (Shah PA*, Patel P, Shah GB)
  3. The 1st prize in poster presentation was awarded to Shah PA*, Patel VP, Shah GB. for “Role of a7 nAChR in Complete Freund’s Adjuvant induced arthritis: A novel target for rheumatoid arthritis?” in 28th Annual conference of IPS (Gujarat Chapter) (January 2010) held at Pramukhswami Medical College, Karamsad.
